 Ms. McCarthy, with more than 20 years of business development experience, many of those spent at the executive level, brings an impressive track record in marketing and business development to Albo & Oblon. Her experience encompasses many aspects of business development and marketing services to the US federal government, corporations, associations, state and local governments and various other markets.
She recently served as a sales director at General Electrics GE Capital Satellite Division where she led the year-over-year revenue growth of more than 200 percent in her markets while participating in the Six Sigma program and achieving a greenbelt certificate. While in her position at GE, the revenue had substantial growth due to her belief that good business means listening to the clients because success is all about the client and learning about their situations to create the best solution. She also believes in sharing with clients the total capabilities of her organization and offer solutions in all areas her organization can positively affect.
Prior to her position at GE, Nancy's business development and leadership ability has developed while working in sales and management for excellent companies such as LexisNexis and McGraw-Hill's e-learning division. She was personally responsible for clients such as: Accenture, Marriott, Home Depot, 3M, Lockheed Martin, Computer Sciences Corp., Northrop, Raytheon, AT&T, the Civilian and DOD sides of the Federal Government such as: the FBI, NSA, CIA, DIA, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army, IRS, NASA, NOAA, the US Senate and Congress as well as the US Supreme Court.
Nancy is a graduate from the University of Maryland, with a BS in Business. She also has completed course work toward her MBA at the University of Maryland.
She is a speaker at national conventions, published many articles and is frequently quoted by the Washington Post and various newsletters. Nancy is an active member of the Potomac Officers Club, AFCEA as well as the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
